Monthly Community Recap -January |

Last month introduced a few new things to The Californian. We started our Mall Walking Program called Senior Steppers which takes residents on a ride in the company van to the Yolo County Fair Mall. Every Thursday morning at 9:30 Activity Directors, residents, and others from the local community have the rewarding opportunity of stretching their legs. Also in January, Arts and Crafts had residents making Valentine’s Day Picture Frames and Valentine’s Day Cards. Larry Razumov hosted out annual Russian Tea Party event on the 15th which filled up almost the entire dining room with an excited and curious audience who had been very much looking forward to sipping freshly made Samovar tea and specialty candies and cookies. Seen in a couple photos are residents putting together roses attached to notes for another local retirement community with a program called Flowers for Seniors.
